Ilustras Editoriais

A seguir algumas capas para um newsletter interno da Alumbra Materiais Elétricos, um dos clientes da agência. Pela correria, hoje vão só as ilustras finais, sem rafes, nem processo. Mas prometo que compenso no próximo post, ok? Tudo pintura digital, três com o traço a nanquim, só o segundo quem foi vetorizado antes de gratinar no photoshop. Bom, vamos lá, a primeira com o tema Festas Juninas:

Here are some covers for an internal newsletter to Alumbra Electrical Materials, one of the agency’s clients. For the run, now will only show the final  illustrations without sketches or process. But I promise to make up for the next post, ok? All digital painting, three with Indian ink, only the second who was vectorized before browning in photoshop. Well, come on, the first theme with Festas Juninas, a typical brazilian party:

Ilustração didática Parte 2: editora Positivo Illustration for kids 2: Positivo publishing house

E aqui está a 2ª fase dos trabalhos feitos para a Editora Positivo. A diferença é que trabalhei bem mais no computador nestas ilustras em relação ao que fiz na 1ª fase, pois fiz os rafes no papel e, depois de scanear, redesenhei parte por parte em vetor e apliquei texturas, sombras e luzes no Photoshop. Aqui está o resultado:

And here is the 2nd phase of the work done for the Positivo Publishing House. For these illustrations I worked much more on the computer than I did in phase 1, because I did the sketches on paper and, after scanning, I vectorize each element and after this applied textures, shadows and lights in Photoshop. Here’s the result:

Ilustração didática Parte 1: editora Positivo Illustration for kids 1: Positivo publishing house

Há mais ou menos um ano atrás fiz estas ilustrações para a Editora Positivo, de Curitiba. Foram publicadas em livros do Ensino Fundamental das matérias de Geografia, História, Matemática e Português. Cada ilustra foi feita no lápis sobre papel vegetal, depois scaneada e pintada no photoshop. Aqui estão as ilustras feitas entre maio e dezembro de 2010:

For about a year ago I did these illustrations for the Positivo publishing house, from Curitiba, a state in south of Brazil. These were published in books for the Basic Education with themes like Geography, History, Mathematics and Portuguese. Each illustration was done in colored pencil on tracing paper, then scanned and painted in photoshop. Here are the illustrations made between May and December 2010:

É isso aí! Foi um dos trabalhos mais bacanas que fiz, porque o pessoal da editora proporcionou duas coisas que acho fundamental para realizar um bom trabalho: um briefing claro e um prazo bom. Só posso agradecer ao Cassiano, lá da Positivo, pela oportunidade e pela parceria nestes jobs. No post de cima vem a segunda fase. Um grande abraço e obrigado pela visita!

That’s it! It was one of the coolest jobs I’ve did, because the staff of the publishing house provided two things that I find fundamental to doing good work, a clear briefing and a good deadline. I can only thank so much to Cassiano, from Positivo, by the opportunity and partnership in these jobs. In the post is above the second stage. A big hug and thanks for visiting!
